Back to Basics: Legionella Management
Session Overview
This short, knowledge building ‘Back to Basics’ session has been designed to provide a basic understanding of the requirements of water hygiene legislation and determining the rationale for the different properties, categorisation, etc.
The session also takes a look what is contained in a legionella/water risk assessment and a brief overview of the meaning and rationale behind some of the common control measures mean and what organisations should be doing in response to the risks identified in the assessment.
What’s Covered?
The webinar provides an introductory overview of what we feel are some of the core elements for Scottish social landlords around legionella management to comply with regulatory requirements and, of course, the impacts on tenant & resident safety.
We’ll cover:
- Legionella overview and the causative chain
- Understanding of the requirements of the legislation
- Determining the rationale for risk assessment of the different types of properties
- What’s contained in a legionella/water risk assessment
- Understand what some of the control measures mean and what the organisation should be doing in response to the risks identified in the assessment.
- When you need a written scheme of control.
This session is delivered by our experienced water hygiene profession who has worked with social housing providers for many years – this ensures we can bring the most relevant and reliable information to our network members.
